    Fiat Open Road Challenge

    The FIAT® brand partnered with one of Instagram's first and most active creator communities, #JJ, to commission its founder and top photographers to embark on a photo-documented open road adventure in the new Fiat 500L. The road trip consisted of a four city road trip, including Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

    During the 4-day road trip, the #JJ team will issue five photo challenges as part of the "Open Road Challenge" contest and will host local meet-ups (InstaMeets) at designated destinations along the route. Participants who submit photos to the challenges will have a chance to win a 2015 Fiat 500L.

    The resulting all-Instagram exhibition, co-curated by CMA and #JJ COMMUNITY, the largest community of photographers on Instagram, features 320 photos from 5,000 photographers representing 89 countries and generated more than 45,000 photo submissions. #MobilePhotoNow is the largest mobile photography exhibition ever presented by a museum. Through social media sharing and major international press coverage, #MobilePhotoNow has reached nearly 270 million people around the world.

    Alt hotels #ALTEXPO exhibit

    ALT Hotel Toronto #ALTEXPO exhibit is a colorful and interactive mural created via a social media picture contest. Hosted by #JJ community on Instagram over 15 days. The photo contest received more than 80,000 images from participants from all over the world. The final installation features printed, laminated, and digital pictures. Five integrated LCD screens display photos submitted by hotel guests in real-time when they tag their Instagram photos with #ALTEXPO

    The Wolfsonian and #JJ Community challenged social-media followers to submit photos centered on three themes prevalent in Abbott’s 1954 series: Road Trip, Signage, and Classic. The Long Road to Now: Digital Photos Inspired by Berenice Abbott’s Road Trip brings together the 15 winning entries from this photo call. The winning Instagrams posts were, hand-picked by The Wolfsonian and #JJ from over 7,000 submissions.

    Arriving in Galway, the train station is situated right in the heart of the bustling city. Packed full of the usual city amenities, from restaurants to pubs and shops, plus a market where you’ll find handmade souvenirs of your trip, fresh produce, and everything in between. The final winning photo will be used as the box art for an upcoming Body Guardz package design.
