The Wolfsonian and #JJ Community challenged social-media followers to submit photos centered on three themes prevalent in Abbott’s 1954 series: Road Trip, Signage, and Classic. The Long Road to Now: Digital Photos Inspired by Berenice Abbott’s Road Trip brings together the 15 winning entries from this photo call. The winning Instagrams posts were, hand-picked by The Wolfsonian and #JJ from over 7,000 submissions.

Through social media sharing and major international press coverage, #MobilePhotoNow has reached nearly 270 million people around the world.
ALT Hotel Toronto #ALTEXPO exhibit is a colorful and interactive mural created via a social media picture contest. Hosted by #JJ community on Instagram over 15 days. The photo contest received more than 80,000 images from participants from all over the world. The final installation features printed, laminated, and digital pictures. Five integrated LCD screens display photos submitted by hotel guests in real-time when they tag their Instagram photos with #ALTEXPO
