The catch light in their eyes wasn’t from my photo flash, it came from their sense of hope for a better future!
If you have ever seen someone who has lost all hope in life, you can actually see a void or blackness in their eyes when photographing them.
It is equally true that when you photograph someone that is “full of hope,” it pours out of them through their eyes like water.
When I was photographing these children at the Kenya Children’s foundation the HOPE they had in their eyes was the brightest light in the room and it filled me with joy to be in their presence.
Every child I met at the school conveyed a sense that they knew they had won the lottery of a life time!
Dreams are what fuels mans hope, and hope is what builds a better future for all.
Light=education.
Light=hope.
Light=a brighter future.
