It was a pretty amazing to see this utility worker stretch out to connect a new electrical wire as the Filipino flag flew over the mayor’s office.

Although they believe some of the bigger towns might have power in a few months, most of the families we provided solar lights have never been able connect to the electrical grid because of the cost.

For a family to connect to power it would cost 3000 pesos and then the monthly usage charge!

Many of these families barely make enough to survive every day. Those that we do give lights to it really does change their lives forever! #WOLhaiyan #givelights
