As many as 4-5 million children suffered as a result of the typoon according to the estimates by Save the Children and the United Nations Children’s Fund. It is commonly recognized that children have suffered the most.

Some 4.2 million persons and around 906,000 families were displaced according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.

My heart breaks for the parents that lost their children during the disaster. As a parent myself, I can’t image that kind of pain and sorrow! #WOLhaiyan #givelights
