I didn’t know this till the end of my trip but, many of the locals understand a lot of English but, are too embarrassed to speak it because they don’t speak it well.

When I first shot a picture of this women I show it to her on my iPhone and said “beautiful.” Well, she could stop smiling and saying “beautiful, yes, yes beautiful!”

She was beautiful before I took the picture but, she was radiant after I showed it to her!

I never once saw a mirror while I was on the island and couldn’t help and wonder when was the last time this women saw her image reflected or was that the first time?
