Sometimes we create our own prisons. For many however, only because where they are born, they have a substantially more difficult road.
I photographed this young girl as she was watching me from behind her family’s walls in the Smoky Mountain Slum’s.
Her home was constructed from old rusty bed springs and trash tossed away by those more fortunate than her.
