As I begin my 5 hour layover in Guam international airport, I am confused by all the duty free shops and high-end clothing, watch and shoes stores. They are everywhere!

It’s now 3:27 a.m. in Guam and all the store clerks are dress in their new pressed clothes, high polished shoes and best sale-person-smile, all ready to greet the next customer.

Do people really do a lot of shopping while flying and stuck during layovers at 3:36 a.m.? If could purchase a hot shower, I’d buy it right away! #WOLhaiyan
