After receiving his new @wattsoflove head lamp, this boy climbed up a 35 foot coconut tree barefoot to get me a coconut to say “salamat.” The coconut juice tasted amazing on the 100° day and I was reminded again as he climbed with such ease, that we white boys will forever remain vertically challenged. 🙂

After living his entire life by burning dangerous and expensive kerosene, this man is can be seen blowing out the last kerosene torch that he will ever use!

How dangerous are these kerosene torches?

They have the same explosive abilities as a Molotov cocktail used in conflicts and wars!

#givelight #bethechange #thedeservebetter.

In every window of the small community building we set up in to distribute 400 @wattsoflove solar lights, those that we couldn’t help watched for hours and went away empty handed.

It’s always so difficult to know that some will not receive. #givelight, #bethechange, #theydeservebetter.

Thank you to those who have supported me and Watts of Love. Your help truly makes a huge impact!

Despite how the weapons and ammunition looked on these soldiers that were positioned around us during on our last solar light drop with @wattsoflove, many of these men were so moved by “our mission” that several of them put their weapons down and joined us as interetpers and assistants.

It was a truly amazing moment and confirmation to me again that the when the human spirit is moved with compassion it can change the world for good!

I will never forget these brave men or their willingness to help those in need.

Everyone is worthy of light!

These old church candles were the only source of light this boy and his mom had every night since he was born! #wol, #givelight

Eyes are target.

Some faces were made to be captured and some souls can be seen as the moment is exchanged.

Note to self… shoot more fashion photography again!

Great to collaborate with creative and talented people. Thanks @jessisheehan @heatherfred25 @balanced_babe

Light at the end of the tunnel.

Late night editing images and was reminded of this great behind the scenes shot that @614scottsmith took of me setting my main light. If you are not aware of Scott’s work check it out right now. You will love his feed and style. Thanks again Scott!

I consider myself a very rich man because of all the great friends I have in my life and their willingness to always lend a hand. Thank you Andy.

Family fun night or Family Feud?

I love photographing people moments after they receive their new @wattsoflove light. Their smiles are always so sincere and honest.

I think my pilot was fantasizing about being in Top Gun school and had the looping audio of the quote “I feel the need for speed” in his head.

No coffee needed on these types of mornings in the Philippines. Miss all of these children so much.

Some people come into your life and without you knowing it or understanding how profound the impact is at the time you meet, you are radically changed forever because of them.

I can never thank you enough Mike for changing course of my life.

Word play.

5 o’clock shadow.

Goodbye Kansas City and all of those I love. It has been way too long. You have all helped to form the man I am today.
