“There is nothing funny about Halloween. This sarcastic festival reflects, rather, an infernal demand for revenge by children on the adult world. “
-Jean Baudrillard

Happy Halloween. Not sure if this behind the scenes image from Creator Gallery is a trick or treat?

Searching for Koci Hernandez.

Their are some photographers who’s work is so unique and definitely successful that the moment you see the image you know exactly who was the creator. Ansel Adam, David LaChapelle, Terry Richardson are just a few photographers that fall into that amazing category . Well for me Richard Koci Hernanandez, better know on IG as @koci also falls into that category. So, to honor Richard’s contribution to my life, I went searching for his “photographic style”. Although not nearly as good as one of his pictures, I post this image to honor a man who I have never met but, inspired me to embrace mobile photography and WOW’s me every time he posts a new image. Thank you @koci for inspiring me and so many other followers.

Keep up the fabulous work Richard! I am so glad we will be contributing together @theappwhisperer.

Every human being has multiple personalities under their skin. They call this the “false self.” Depending on the situation we often choose various masks based on what we believe might gain us love, acceptance or friendship. It’s the job of the artist to discover those personalities and reveal them to the world despite any fears of rejection. What “false self” mask do you need to TAKE off this Halloween?

In war, there are no unwounded soldiers and some of the greatest scars can not be seen.

It’s one thing to make a picture of what a person looks like, it’s another thing to make a portrait of who they are.

One year ago today, I was flying to Rome to interview Fr. Gabriele Amorth for documentary film on Exorcism. Months before my journey I had all but left the creative industry. I had no idea what I would experience interviewing the Catholic Chuch’s head exorcist for the past 30 years. Man what a difference a year makes. (Taken with Instagram)
